Entering the busy season here - shearing was done the beginning of this month and some beautiful merino fleeces finally got their moment to shine. Micron samples will be sent off in the next week and the merino fleeces will be weighed. Once that information is gathered, the fleeces will be priced and after a showing in the state fair later this summer, the fleeces will be available for purchase.
We’ll have two black spotted merino fleeces, two spotted moorit fleeces, and a solid moorit fleece available. If you’re interested in reserving one of these, please feel free to PM.

We also started lambing here and have welcomed our first lambs this week - a few strong Suffolk/Hampshire lambs and a striking colored merino ram lamb. Lambs will be available later this summer as well. If your interested in one a meat or fiber lamb, please feel free to message us!

As we get ready for shearing and lambing here within the next month, it’s a good time to take a look at the ewes and rams.

Several interesting ewe and ram pair ups this season. We have our new white merino ram with one of the colored merino ewes and several of our older, proven Hampshire/Suffolk ewes. Our home bred Hampshire/Suffolk coming yearling ram (on right in picture 4) was in charge of a majority of the Hampshire and Hampshire/Suffolk ewes. And our veteran colored merino ram was paired with the rest of the colored merino ewes.

Stay tuned for pictures of the merino fleeces that’ll be available this season (several moorit fleeces, two spotted black fleeces, and a white fleece) and the lambs we will have available later this summer!

A few pictures of some of the ewes as we gear up to sort into breeding groups for the upcoming breeding season. Last photo is of our fleece champion ram sporting his new ‘do! A variety of lambs - everything from our Hampshire/Suffolks and purebred colored Merinos, to a few speckle face white Merino/Hamp/Suffolk crosses - are expected come late spring 2026.
If you’re interested in getting on the list for 2026 lambs, feel free to message and I’ll get you on the list!

The recent time change means that a 6:30pm feeding is probably done in the dark. Tonight, however, it was under skies made bright by some of the most vibrant northern lights I’ve ever seen!
The boys, who are gearing up for breeding season next month, were only mildly irritated that their picture was being taking as opposed to their dinner being given.

Very excited to have added to the Merino flock! This young ram, Roo, will be a stud ram for the colored flock and will add some new genetics to the mix. Adding a white merino was a decision made in hopes of being able to have some white, fine fleeced merinos and maybe even some colored ones. Looking forward to seeing the lambs he throws and to hopefully having a few fine fleeced lambs to add back into our flock (and maybe yours!).

Very excited to have sent these two uniquely colored Suffolk/Hampshire lambs, along with another ewe lamb born in this group, to their very own flock in eastern Washington! They mark our very first lambs to join an out of state breeding flock!

I would also like to add a big thank you to all of our lamb and fleece buyers from this year so far!! Your business is always appreciated!

Still have a few June born Suffolk/Hampshire ram lambs, and a two year old Suffolk/Hampshire ewe available. Ewe can be bred to either of the available ram lambs if interested in a breeding pair. Any or all would be great for use in 4-H breeding flocks, a meat flock, or even for your own use.

All are up to date on vaccinations and worming. Located in Conrad,MT.
