Ben took Doc and D***y for a walk to pick up pumpkins to bring back to the animals at the farm. All of the animals, especially the cows and the pigs love pumpkins. Please enjoy the video at the end of Gus breaking into a big pumpkin 😆

We are back from our favorite fair, Sandwich Fair! A lot of fun was had and many moments of me thinking "why did I think having 3 kids and bringing them to the fair was a good idea" 😅🫠 but nonetheless we survived. Alice and Ben earned a couple of ribbons. Unfortunately one of Alice's calves came up lame in the big parade (insert dramatics of having to un-yoke a pair of calves in the middle of the parade, Alice carried on with Tom while Mom and "Uncle" Joey got Jerry slowly but surely back to the fairgrounds).
And then I went and bought Ben a new pair of brown swiss steers- Doc and D***y! (His birthday and Christmas present is covered for the next few years 😅)
Looking forward to next year and our potentially very full trailer, never a dull moment here!

Farm moms really can do it all, right? I noticed a lamb that didn't look right this morning, so Edith and I caught him, took him temperature (fever of 105.8F) and administered some medication (with the help of Alice fetching syringes for me because I forgot them 🤦). Fingers crossed this guy comes out of it, never a dull moment with livestock!
