Well…when the lady behind the scenes gets a new knee, the camera roll gets a little boring!

Annie had her knee replacement last Tuesday and is recovering well at home. Mike has stepped into nursing duties, and while he’s doing better than expected, let’s just say it’s probably not a career change he’ll be making anytime soon.

As for Annie, being cooped up in the house is definitely not her jam. But with temperatures hovering around 105°+, the air conditioning isn’t the worst place to spend some time.

These days the schedule is pretty glamorous: ice, CPM machine, physical therapy, exercises… rinse and repeat. Toss in a few naps, a little complaining (she’s earned it!), and plenty of bossing Mike around, and you’ve got the recovery plan.

She’s making great progress and hopes to be back to helping Mike —and out of the recliner—before too long. Thanks for all the prayers, calls, and well wishes. We appreciate every one of them!

We also can’t let this day go by without wishing Mike a very happy birthday!

Thank goodness for technology!

Today is an office day for Annie as we build bulls pens virtually and work through DNA verification on our new calf crop.

It’s detailed work, but accurate pedigrees matter—and modern technology makes it possible to verify every calf with confidence. 🧬📋
