Half acre of sugar snap & shell peas 🫛 planted last week & 50,000 shallots & onions 🧅 in the ground too. Got the second piece of sweet corn 🌽 in today. I’ve been told that “This is why I can’t walk at night.” My poor ol’ man.

The world lost one of the good ones. Monday Farmer Ron lost a good friend of 34 years to the monster called cancer. Paul Smith of Little River Farm in Livingston, NY was a kind, quirky and funny guy who was always willing to help people. He had 100 stories to tell about his wild and full life. Just when you thought you knew them all he’d drop another nugget that you’d never heard before. He was a great fruit grower who loved his farm, family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
