A career of recipe development has paid off again! Jason Day, Megan Day and cousin Mat pulled off an incredible perfect-perfect veggie entry and a perfect-perfect sausage entry at American Royal World Series of Barbecue!
The bean and potato entries also popped great scores giving the team another Overall Grand Champion - Side Dish title and the sausage score was good for a coveted 1st place square trophy!
It was an exhilarating walk to the stage - 4 times - making our partners Royal Oak Charcoal and FireBoard proud to be part of our journey too!

Fan Favorite at Wings 4 Water! We loved seeing and feeding so many friends, neighbors, and family members on Thursday night. Our Sweet and Spicy -we call them Swicy- wings placed 3rd in the wing contest and were crowned overall Fan Favorite by the crowd of attendees during this fantastic fundraiser. Put this event on your radar and plan to come see us next year.

Whatcha doin’ tonight? We’re cooking wings. A ridiculous amount of wings! And you get to eat them.

We loaded up the cooking trailer and headed to Weston for the 2026 Made for KC bbq contest.

They handed 43 teams a cooler full of meat and let us loose. We lit that Royal Oak Charcoal, dialed in our FireBoard probes, and landed one heck of a cook.

Congratulations to Charles Winslow-Bey on your incredible score and big win - One of the biggest prizes in BBQ. He’ll be signing a contract with OHM Concession to run his flavors at the BBQ restaurant in the Kansas City Airport.

We were in the hunt and it felt good. We’ll see everyone at the Royal in October. Now off to go work on ribs!

Today we say goodbye to some of the best food creators TV ever cast! Food Network was part of so many Saturday morning routines and a sure-fire inspiration when looking for high quality recipes. Jason Day and Megan Day had an absolute blast putting together a recipe featuring our KC-Style Chipotle BBQ sauce. This warm potato salad has become a staple on tables around the world and we've heard from so many friends who love it too. Keep making it and loving it.
