Dear friends, family, and valued patrons,
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for thirteen amazing years in business! The time has come to say farewell to Grains & Taps Brewery and Taproom. We can’t thank you all enough for coming along on this crazy ride with us!
While there is much sadness in saying goodbye, there are so many amazing memories and friendships to turn our focus to. We hope you will take the opportunity in the next few weeks to stop by for a beer, a pizza, a hug, or all three.
The Grains & Taps Farewell Party will be Saturday, August 1st, but you don’t have to wait until then to visit. The taproom will be operating normal hours (Tue-Sun) through the end of July. We’ve still got new beers to tap, a soccer tournament to finish, and a few more weeks of stories to tell!
Grains & Taps Home Brew Supply Store will remain open, and it will continue to operate in its current location into the fall. We’re excited about the future of the home brew supply store. We’re also excited to announce we’re in the process of looking for someone to take it over. If you have a passion for brewing or winemaking and have ever thought of owning your own business, we’re searching for the next owner or partner of Grains & Taps Home Brew Supply Store.
None of the last 13 years is possible without an immense amount of support and hard work. We are forever grateful to our staff, present and past. We cherish and thank the Kansas City craft beer community and home brew clubs.
It has been a privilege to be a part of the history of the town we grew up in. Lee’s Summit is a special place, and being a part of the Downtown LS and Strother District communities is something we will always be proud of.
There are way too many memories to put into one letter and far too many names to thank individually. We look forward to spending the next few weeks with you. Please keep an eye out for event announcements and updates.
