Friends, Family and Small Businesses- We would like to invite you to the Highland County Fair Auction taking place tonight, September 6th at 5:30 PM. The auction will first start with sheep, goats, steers, beef feeders and then dairy feeders. It’s truly amazing how much time and effort these kids place into their projects. Not to mention the lifeskills the kids learn as a result along with all of the memories that 4-H provides.
We appreciate your generosity and your support of the 4-H program! 🍀

Pray for your farmers ♥️
Their livelihoods depend on this. This was the first year that I have been directly involved in relying on Mother Nature and let me tell you, the stress is unbelievable! After watching my husband go through this every year I never fully understood the weight of depending on the weather.

We have been working to water our vines when we can. Not only does it take about 7500 gallons of water each WEEK for them to receive the recommended 1 inch of rain/week but it takes a heck of a lot of time! We are thankful for each rain drop but it has been few and far between in our area.

We water when we can and hope that Italy’s research of “stressing the vine to make a sweeter grape” somehow pulls through for us too! We hope to not have too much stress that makes our vines more susceptible to disease or affect our yields in years to come.

If you could do a little rain dance, we would sure appreciate it 😉

Latest analysis issued by US Drought Monitor shows extreme drought over parts of Southeast Ohio. With the forecast showing little to no rain, worsening conditions can be expected.

Our farm family is about to GROW this weekend 🥰
If you know us, it’s all we have talked about for a couple of months now.
We are so excited for our new addition(s).

Stay tuned for an announcement and all the photos coming soon…. but enjoy the sunset on our foxtails in the meantime 🦊🌅 Growing with reduced use of herbicides means that we sometimes embrace the beauty of the weeds!

Our sweetcorn has sold out for the time being, but we are already taking orders for the next batch that will be ready in about 2-3 weeks! It’s selling quick but we will fill orders on a first come, first serve basis. Our list continue to grow so if you want a spot, please reach out. We can’t thank y’all enough for your support! 🥰

We love to see the large bulk orders roll in, in addition to the smaller orders that go into your dinner rotation. We freeze our corn to enjoy garden fresh corn year round, it’s pretty awesome to see so many of you doing the same thing 🌽

Available now at Marshland family farms- this is a new variety trial sh2 super sweet corn. Very tender and sweet. No pesticides or insecticides applied and only organic fertilizers used. $5 a dozen or discount prices for bulk amounts. Please message for orders.
