1972. That is the year my grandfather, Roy, started what would become the Goodson brand you know and love.
Roy spent his days farming quality pecans while his wife, Ruth, our Meme, would coat them in egg whites, a blend of sugar, and pan-bake them. 😍
After putting them in ziplock bags, they would then use the freshly shelled and sugared pecans to bless church friends and neighbors.
Roy’s fresh Georgia pecans were known for a nice crunch and taste that couldn’t be beat. We still hold to our grandparents’ kindness and dedication to doing things right; these remain the Goodson values. 🩵
Still using only the best Georgia pecans. Still making everything by hand in our store. Still serving people who love good food made by people who care.
That is something we do not take for granted for a single day.
What is a value you loved seeing in your parents or grandparents? We would love to hear 👇
