Have you ever wondered how Goodson pecan butter came to be? Well, it all started when David noticed the surplus of nut butters, some for almonds, cashews, and even sunflower seeds. However, there seemed to be a major lack in nut butters for pecans.

The observation struck the innovation of Goodson’s very own creamy and crunchy pecan butter, which launched in 2014. This simple idea eventually led to the creation of three more flavors, the latest being fudge butter, which was created by total accident! 🍫😋

This creativity and invention has continued to thrive in the family and plays a crucial role in the development of our business. We are so thankful to have the opportunities to share our innovations with our customers!

It was the year 2010 when David Goodson was brainstorming in the back of a pickup truck. The family had sold pecans out of their house, but saw an opportunity with the evolution of the internet. This moment eventually led to the creation of Goodson Pecans as David and his wife, Melody, launched their online retail business.

Family recipes soon developed into gourmet-flavored pecans and became well loved in the local community. Over the years, the business grew from being solely online to now having recently expanded as a retail store, featuring both Goodson and other Georgia grown products. 🌱

David’s son, Drew, is the fourth-generation and has grown up in the business, traveling to shows and sampling their premium products. He now helps run Goodson as the Sales & Marketing Manager.

From the idea that started it all to what we have grown to be today, our business continues to stand on our core family values that have remained through generations. 💙
