Big progress for American agriculture!

USDA has officially released its Data Modernization Plan, outlining a path forward for modernizing how agricultural data is collected, analyzed and reported through NASS.

We’re incredibly proud to see Kip Tom helping lead this effort, bringing a farmer’s perspective directly to the table and advocating for a system that better reflects the technology, data and realities of agriculture today.

The plan focuses on reducing the burden on producers, improving acreage and yield estimates through tools like satellite imagery and precision agriculture data, integrating technology across USDA, and perhaps most importantly — rebuilding trust and transparency with America’s farmers.

Accurate, timely data matters. It influences markets, marketing decisions and ultimately the bottom line for farmers across the country.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but this is an exciting step toward making USDA agricultural data the gold standard once again — and making sure farmers have a strong voice in how we get there.

There are some moments you simply have to experience. 🇺🇸

Thursday night, Vann Morris delivered his powerful presentation of “Old Glory”…and you could have heard a pin drop.

Standing together on the farm, surrounded by friends, family, farmers, veterans and members of our community, his words were an incredible reminder of what our flag represents: sacrifice, courage, freedom and the generations of Americans who have defended it.

As we celebrate America’s 250th, this was a moment we won’t soon forget.

Thank you, Vann, for sharing your incredible gift with us and reminding us why Old Glory still means so much. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

It takes a TEAM! 💪🇺🇸

An event like Thursday night doesn’t just come together overnight. There are countless hours of planning, cleaning, moving equipment, setting tables, decorating, organizing, power washing and then putting everything back together when it’s over!

We are incredibly fortunate to have a team that jumps in wherever needed and takes pride in making something like this happen. From our Tom Farms crew to our families, FFA members, vendors, and everyone else who lent a hand — THANK YOU!

Hosting more than 400 people on the farm is no small task, and we couldn’t do it without a whole lot of teamwork behind the scenes.

A great night starts with a great team, and we sure have one! ❤️🌽

Just another box to check before harvest! 🌽

Today we’re chopping the tops off the female seed corn, one more important step in the seed corn process as we get closer to the finish line.

Harvest will be here before we know it. Stay tuned… we’ll be rolling soon!

Today, our local agriculture community comes together to honor the life of fellow farmer Chad Dippon. 🚜🇺🇸

It’s a powerful sight to see tractors lining up to accompany Chad on his final journey, a fitting tribute to a life rooted in agriculture and our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Chad’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Please use extra caution if traveling on SR 15 near CR 900N in Milford today. The funeral procession is expected to begin around 2:00 PM, and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible or travel carefully.

A beautiful tribute from the farming community. Rest easy, Chad.
