We are a small family owned goat dairy located in Leesburg, VA. We make artisan goat cheese by hand. We are a small family owned goat dairy business.
We started buying goats in 2014. We built a large barn in 2015 and started buying more goats. In 2016 we built the creamery and we were certified in April 2017. We believe that ensuring small farms are present in our local communities and able to sell locally raised farm products to the community is crucial. We have alpine dairy goats from which we sell goat cheese, conduct cheese making classes a
nd sell goats, as available. We also have chickens and a small garden where we grow the herbs and berries for our cheese. It may surprise many to know that not that long ago Loudoun County, Virginia was a large dairy producing region. In 1950 there was 405 dairy farms in Loudoun County, shipping dairy from Loudoun County into the Washington D.C. area along the Washington & Old Dominion Railway (W&OD). In the recent past this dairy industry has all but disappeared in the county, with the number of dairies in the county going from 405 in 1950 to 76 in 1978 and to only one in 2006. We are hoping to do our small part in bringing dairies back to Loudoun County and starting to ensure that you have the ability to purchase locally made dairy products, not dairy shipped in from out of state.
Operating as usual
Come to our farm 1 day per week on Thursday or Friday, we can be flexible each week as to which day., could even do Weds. Work for approximately 7-8 hours. Duties include packaging cheese for the markets on the weekends, watching over caramel and cleaning up as needed. Job would begin the week of 8/9 and end around Thanksgiving.

Hi there. Sorry we have not posted in awhile. We have cheese and are trying to figure out all the new ways to get it to folks. We are working on it so stay tuned on that. What a beautiful day it was. The babies and I enjoyed some much needed play time, with babies jumping on rocks and nibbling on green stuff and me cuddling with them 😀

It was an exciting day on the farm. We woke to one Mom giving birth to twins. Another pregnant mom was originally helping clean one of the babies in the picture. Then she went into labor herself and had 2 babies of her own. Wonderful new babies ❤️
