🍷Anniversary release 2 of 3: 2024 Cuvee! Coolship sour red ale. Made with red malt mashed at a super high temperature and cooled overnight in our coolship, fermented in barrels for years, blended, bottled, and aged. It’s been quite a while since we released Cuvee—spon beers are always a roll of the dice and it took a while until we had some liquid we were happy with. The resulting blend has our signature restrained acidity, fruity jam flavors, a touch of rain on asphalt, and whiff of gunpowder.
✏️This is an interesting comparison to Prima, our Belgian gueuze-inspired blend we released earlier this spring. In contrast to Prima, Cuvee eschews all of the methods of lambic beer other than the coolship, instead opting for some uniquely U.S. methods pioneered by American breweries over the last decade. We love it just as much, and it’s our little contribution to American wild ales.
