Another sassy mare in my collection!!!
Spring is in full swing now! This weekend had us back out for the first dressage show on the big boys Ro, and Vito, and little Betsy was not shy at her first national competition. Feeling much improved this winter I am excited for what this season might have in store!
The post horse show laundry might swallow up lulu π§ΊπΆ
We got so lucky on the weather today and dodged the thunder storm! Day 1 of our first horse trial of the season was very successful, Tana and Simco picked up right where they left off last year with a confidence building day! Casey and Joshi did a beautiful job finishing in 3rd on a their dressage score!! What a great start to the year!
2nd day of schooling got out Tana and Simco, and Gabby and River prepping for Loch Moy next week as well as Jordan and Winny, and Jess and Huey learning the ropes. It's wonderful to bring up new eventers and watch everyone develop, bring on the competition season we are ready!!
Only one of us including myself was organized enough to get into the VADA NOVA schooling show this morning at Morven and braving the cold Caroline and Fi made an excellent return to competing scoring a 64%!! So glad to have this girl feeling good and making progress again!!
Snoozing in sunshine
Great day of dressage at Bascule, Rod made a successful move to 2nd level, Addison broke the 60s with Honor at 1st, Betsy was far more confident on her second time out, and Gabby and River gained valuable experience in the sandbox with a 66!
The team had another great outing at The Morven Park Schooling Jumper series. Started off the day with Jordan dressed to impress, taking Whinny over the poles and crossrails. Rascal continued to build his confidence and put in a steady round over some cross rails. Jess also had her first over fences outing today and did a great job navagating over some Xs. Willie, Roxy and Calypso, got a quick refresher to prep for the upcoming season. The real MVP of the day was Emily and her kick ass ride on Cruiser. She has been working so hard on riding the impulsion required for those little legs to get him over the fences. You put in a well ridden and forward round. Well done team!!
Managed to jump all the ponies for Morven this weekend despite the stabbing pain in my back! Here's to hoping the human Dr Davis can fix me up as well as the horse Dr Davis does for the ponies! π€ππ
It was so nice to get out have a little xc school, Jess and Huey did a great job learning how to navigate terrain, and Tricia and Cinco shook off the cobwebs ready for this year!
I had a wonderful time teaching the Cassinova Warrenton Pony Club dressage lessons, excellent riding and lovely horses all did so well considering all the wind today π¬οΈ π
New sky lights in the indoor have made a huge difference!!
Went for a short trip up the road today for the schooling jumper show at morven park.
Emily put in some great work, doing her best to ride a forward canter on Cruisers little legs.
Well done!
Excellent day of dressage at Bascule Farm, Alisa/Aya and Betsy got some valuable experience on their first time out under saddle, it was a very successful day for Jess and Winny scoring in the 60s on their first show, Roxy is back out and well recovered after her fracture this fall, Rascal is finally starting to find his confidence putting in his best test yet, and Rod turned out like the pro he is winning his class with the 69%!!!
A chilly day jumping at Swan Lake today for Tana/Simco and Gabby/River, long day but the course was perfect for confidence building!
Great day jumping at River Chase! Rascal got some needed exposure, Savannah and Huey had a wonderful first jump show, Emily with Pi and Cruiser look great for the season to come and Gabby and River are building great confidence, Willie is back to himself and ready for more!
A significant upgrade for the footing has arrived!
Lulu is such a good girl, she is basically just a live chew toy for Scooby
Great jump lessons with Tim and Hannah last weekend, thanks for the help and the motivation!!
Nice work Jordan, I love watching students make progress!!!
Opening a new pallet of shavings is like a high risk game of jinga where you might be crushed!
A few videos from today. Thank you again for all the smiles
Thank you Tiffany Catlege for hosting such a fun filled day! We all had a blast playing games like "Simon says", "Ride a Buck" and "Apple and spoon" but I think the best part of the day was watching so many kids (and adults π) with big grins on their faces.
Thank you for reminding all of us that competition should be fun!
Law of the gooseneck trailer: if you are alone you will nail it on the first try in 10 seconds if someone is watching it will take at least three attempts and several curse words!
So happy with the new farm signs! https://www.junoiron.com/ was so helpful with the design and they came out perfectly!!!
All wrapped up with the final day with Ernest, such excellent riding and so much fun in the cold! A big Thank You to everyone who came to ride and learn! We will be doing it again very soon so keep an eye out for next visit!
Day 2 with Ernest Dillon was another fantastic day, every horse and rider ride fantastically and so many spectators soaked in all the knowledge!

Saturday we had a blast at the morven park dressage series. Addy and Whinny had some stellar moments and had the best impulsion at a show yet!
Jordan and Ollie killed it at their first dressage show together landing in second place and Charlotte and Honor were not far behind them with a lovely test putting them in 4th. Savanah got to showcase her own Huey at their first outing together and also put in a solid test.
Rascal had some great movements making us very happy with his training progress and are ready to see what the winder series holds for him.
Well done team!!
Back at it again!

First horse trial together for Tana and Simco and finishing clean on their dressage score to end in 3rd place!!! π₯
Absolutely crushed it today at Waredaca PVDA show, Vito won his class on a 71.94!! So pleased with his progress, I am so excited to have this guy on my roster!
So grateful for this big guy, this year has gone sideways in every imaginable way and yet I have still been able to learn so much about balance while trying to figure out how to do dressage... It's hard man, but Allison and Ro keep supporting me and I am so lucky to have them!
Rascal is getting so much more confident, growing up so nicely! Starting over fences and ready to be a proper event horse!
A couple of set backs with this one but he is doing so well I am really excited to see how far we can get with Rod!
Sunday outing to Loch Moy farm was another success. Willie worked on his confidence over fences and put in a great round. Alisa and Peau did a great job working on their rhythm and accuracy. Emily and Cruiser also had not 1 but 2 fantastic rounds. But the star of the day was definitely my Calypso who put in a clean round at training height. Way to go girls! Keep up the great work.
This beautie watches me mow the fields all the time waiting for me to flush out some dinner, today a bunch of small birds came and attacked him and tried to run him off
Hard work pays off!! Congrats Tana and Simco making so much progress as a partnership! So glad to have schooling shows at Allforit!
This boy is stepping up big time!! Winning training level on a 68.6% plus he is just the cutest little thing! Thank you Mary for all the support on this little 'trail' horse!
Excellent schooling at Beverly Equestrian, Willie put in a clean round and Roxy moved up to 2'6" ready for bn at Middleburg, and Calypso did her first round at 3'3" ahead of her move up at Seneca!
Much better weather for the second weekend of Waredaca, congrats to Tana and Simco jumping in public for the first time! Alisa and Peau keep hearing every time and Roxy completed her first HT, so pleased with that little girl!
That's a wrap on our show jumping weekend with Ernest Dillon! As always we learned so much, Roxy stepped up like a big girl and Elinor/Cliff, Naomi/Foggy, and Addison/Pi all made me very proud of their riding! Great job ladies!! Everyone is inspired for the rest of the competition, see you next time Ernest! π¬π§
Day 2 with Ernest Dillon and we all learned so much! Great riding from Sam on Foggy, Emily and Cruiser, and Alisa and Peau! So proud of these ladies!

Alisa and Peau had a great first run of the season talking 6th and finishing on their dressage score!
Willie successfully completed his first training level CT at Loch Moy finishing in 4th! So proud of this guy!
