There is a little shot in here at the packers where he almost suggests that they should be happy with the profit they make on "drop credits". That is INSANE. Who would want to run a business where they never profit on the very thing they are in business to do? Any person that owned a business that was profiting ZERO DOLLARS on their primary product would seek to adjust that reality in their favor. The packers are not evil or manipulating the market because they actually want to profit on their primary business.

The biggest problem is the fact that they have been allowed to centralize the market, and it is the ranchers who slept on that. Now there is no infrastructure to decentralize the industry, we have to build the infrastructure if we truly want to fix this problem.

He is actually missing a layer in here. There is a distributor between the packer and the retailer. However, this is a really good explanation of reality.

Yall have heard us say this before , BUT WE MEAN IT! Absolute best place to go eat in Vernon Parish! I would have had a picture of my food but we tore into it! Everyone always leaves FULL and HAPPY! The atmosphere of this place is one of a kind! Customer service like none other! And the flavors are out of this world ! Us southerners have never had anything like it! Kai’s Island Grill knocks it out the park in all that they do! Make the drive. You won’t regret it!
