Hellfire Blueberries

Ingredients

* 2 cups fresh blueberries
* 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
* 1 tablespoon brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
* ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
* ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
* 1 small jalapeño, finely minced
* Pinch of salt
* 1 teaspoon butter (optional)

Instructions

1. Add blueberries, honey, brown sugar, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne, jalapeño, and salt to a small saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries begin to burst and release their juices.
3. For a thicker sauce, continue cooking another 2–3 minutes.
4. Stir in butter, if using, for extra richness.
