In 2009 my husband lost his job in due to obamacare, and we struggled to try and find something to replace his income. My first thought was "this is OK, but i'm going to make better". We moved forward creating a business plan, found investors, purchased all the equipment, and were ready to sign a lease but something just didn't feel it was the right time. I told my husband that it was too stressful and i wanted to pursue my lifelong dream of being a nurse. He had no idea that was my dream job. We immediately put a hold on our cupcake business, he went and got a job working for someone else (something he was reluctant to do being an entrepreneur) and supported me through school. I have been a full time nurse for 5 years now. Early in 2016 we found out that Mike had bladder cancer. Your perspective on everything changes when you here that word! He's always been supremely confident that our business would be able to financially support and allow us to spend more time as a family, which became the most important thing after his diagnosis. We decided to get a food truck and start the business slowly and grow it over time with aspirations to have a storefront in the near future. We are so excited to offer the products we have been perfecting over the last 7 years, and guarantee it will put a smile on your face. Life is too short not to have things that make us happy.
