Before and After picture of an aerator cleaning. The home owner is getting ready to sell so she thought it best to completely clean the water system, and fix anything that is broken. We also put the softener through a peroxide flush, replaced the brine tanks, and used a pressure washer to clean the concrete pad.

Basic sulfur filter system couldn’t handle the amount of iron the well was producing. Iron particulates built up around the basket which allowed water to bypass the seals and blow water out of the front. We replaced it with a 12x52 Sulfur/Iron filter with a fine mesh resin (Iron Fighting) and white resin softener at 2250$+ tax and labor at 85$ hr. 2 hours for basic install and 3 hours for an aerator replacement. Does not include pressure tank or pressure switch but we will replace them at cost!

Demonstration of how to clear a “salt bridge” that occurs in the brine tank of a softener.

During a routine monthly maintenance, we found a clogged injector in the softener. We knew to check the brine tank next, and, sure enough, it was full of water. The debris from the well was only allowing water to flow in the fill direction. In many cases, this will make the brine tank overflow and melt all the salt. Our maintenance prevented the need for a service call, as well as providing salt and scrubbing/sanitization of the aerator.

Spacer stacks and the pistons that run through the center of them control the direction of water flow in the valve of your water system. When the rubber that separates the chambers becomes damaged or torn, it allows water to slip past the seals, mixing the treated and untreated water together. If the seal for the air/brine draw chamber tears, the system will be unable to properly pull through the injector and result in only a partial regeneration. Causing smell/hardness problems.
