Today, our family said goodbye to Edwin Van “Eddie” Frisbee.
It is difficult to know how to put into words what Eddie means to Addison Farms, because his presence is quite literally everywhere we look.
Eddie was always enthusiastic about what we were building here, even if he never became much of a w**e drinker himself. He would taste what we made, then tell us with a grin that we had “ruined perfectly good grape juice.” That sums up how he showed up for the people he loved.
Today, the farm feels different.
We will see Eddie in the vineyard rows he helped establish, in the buildings he helped raise, in old tractors and well-used tools, and in countless stories that will be told around tables for years to come.
There is a saying that grief is love with nowhere to go. There is an awful lot of love looking for somewhere to go today.
We love you, Eddie.
