B&T Performance Horses

Oaks Night was BUSY at the B&T! Just as the filly’s were being loaded into the starting gate for the Oaks, Laramie called me from doing a horse check and said we are having a baby! Got out to see BT Wyo Golden Legacy make the final pushes on a big Black/blue roan filly by Blue Rip N Valentine. And while we were waiting for all the necessaries to happen, we noticed Bonnets Rojo was in 1st stage labor as well. So within a couple hours, we ended up with a FANCY grulla(roan?) C**t by Wyo Grulla Try! It’s officially BABY season in the Bluegrass! We brought them both in last night to have some bonding time and to keep warm in this sudden blast of cooler weather.

Proud Breeder Alert!! Yesterday Laramie and I got the chance to go to Churchill Downs for Father’s Day. BT Ecstasy Of Gold, aka Wyatt, has gotten the opportunity to work there the past few days under the tutelage of Greg Blasi, the head outrider. Greg was down a few horses, and Wyatt’s owner, Jennifer Truax, was gracious enough to loan Wyatt to him. Greg was very complimentary of the minds of our horses and said that he had no intention of using Wyatt during actual racing as it takes a very long time to build that kind of trust. Well yesterday, another outriders horse came up lame and Greg loaned his afternoon horse to him, and that meant Wyatt got called up to duty! Well with all the people screaming, the starting gates banging, and all the commotion that surrounds live racing, Wyatt handled it all like a true professional! Greg says it is a testament to the minds of these great horses! We couldn’t agree more and we’re so blessed to be there and witness it in person! Thanks to Greg for trusting Wyatt, and to Jennifer for giving him such a wonderful home! Got to love these Bub babies!! Videos in the comments because on pages, you obviously can’t upload photos and videos together in a post.
