Yesterday was “sale day”. It’s so rewarding to be recognized for the hard work we put in all year long to produce quality beef. However, it is so much more than just the one day! It is wonderful to have Lemmon Livestock as a local marketer! Plus, we have had the best help all year long from family and friends with branding, weaning, sorting, etc. Especially this year we could not have done it alone. There has been a lot of talk recently about whether the record prices for cattle is the result of rancher’s hard work or political involvement and if the prices are fair. Obviously as producers we are thrilled to FINALLY make a little money! As political conservatives, we believe in the free market system, and are confident that the supply and demand for quality beef will set a fair price WITHOUT the intervention of the federal government. As followers of Christ we know that the LORD takes care of us whether the cattle prices are good or not! (Matthew 6:26-34) We are so thankful for HIS provision for each day!!
