🚨 CALIFORNIA DRIVERS — IMPORTANT INSURANCE UPDATE! 🚨
Have a California-registered vehicle? Out-of-state or out-of-country insurance documents are NO LONGER accepted for California registrations. 😳
If your insurance isn’t electronically showing with the DMV, you will need to provide a California-compliant insurance card or proof of liability insurance.

✅ Make sure your document includes:
• Your name and/or vehicle owner’s name
• VIN or Fleet designation
• Vehicle make & year
• Policy number
• Effective & expiration dates
• Insurance company information
• Required California compliance language

⚠️ Don’t wait until until it’s too late to find out your insurance paperwork isn’t acceptable!

Planning on visiting Oceano Dunes SVRA for the Sand Drags event on August 22?

Advance Day Use Vehicle passes are available now and are expected to sell out. If you're planning to visit Oceano Dunes SVRA or Pismo State Beach on August 22, be sure to purchase your Day Use Vehicle pass online in advance. No Day Use Vehicle passes will be sold at the park entry kiosks on the day of the event.

When purchasing your pass, the vehicle license plate you enter must match the vehicle arriving at the park.

California State Parks Annual and Discount Pass holders are eligible to participate in the pre-sale at their applicable rate. When reserving through the LAZ pre-sale website, select the pass type that matches the California State Parks pass you currently hold. If you're using a California State Parks pass, please bring it with you on the day of the event.

Camping at North Beach or Oceano Campground? Your camping reservation does not provide beach access for your vehicle on August 22. You will still need to purchase a Day Use Vehicle pass online if you plan to drive onto the beach.

Today, 7/27/26, we’ll be open from 9am - 6pm. Dave is solo at the office today and will be stepping out for a DMV run 12pm - 2:30pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. He should be back in the office no later than 3pm today assist you with your vehicle registration needs.

Having trouble renewing your OHV registration? You're not alone.
California's new OHV registration stickers have created some delays because the system has not yet been updated to allow registration services like ours to issue the new stickers.
We're here to help guide you through the process, but please be patient as we work through these changes alongside the state.
If you're planning to ride, be sure to check with California State Parks to verify when and where your OHV is permitted to operate under the new sticker program.
