Forgiven Farms

Forgiven Farms Small farm making various handmade goat milk soaps Breeding ADGA Registered Alpine dairy goats and ILR registered llamas. Free range eggs also for sale.

We are a small family farm located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue ridge Mountains in North Carolina. What started out with a couple of alpine goats for pets is now turning into an interesting hobby. The goatmilk in the soap comes from our goats that are handmilked two times a day durning milking season(March-September.) We are a homeschooling family that strive to teach our four children a

bout animal husbandry. The older boys help with the afternoon milking while the younger ones get to play with the little goats or llamas on our farm. The soap contains goatmilk of coarse, but it also contains: sweet almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil, and vegetable oil. I also add just a bit of honey from the bee hives we have on the property as a personal touch. After the soap is made, the bars are cut and must cure for 6 weeks before they are ready for use. No colors are added to the soap, each batch has its own unique caramel hue and scent. This is a cold processed lye based soap that is very gentle on your skin. Many repeat customers love how soothing and mild the soap is on their skin. It most definitely does not dry out their skin like commercial soaps.

Appenzeller Spitzhauben Chickens. These are an old breed that originated in Switzerland. I have a rooster and his 3 ladies up for different pastures due to needing the space for other projects. They are laying (white) eggs and are about 1.5 years old. They are a group only. Please private message me for details!

Shout out to Dr. Sarah Layne of Henry River Mobile Vet Services. There isn't much on the farm that Ryan can't handle but we had a llama have difficulty delivering a huge male cria. Dr. Layne was able to skillfully maneuver the cria into position but then we had shoulder dystocia which took both her and Ryan pulling to finally deliver after an hour of hard work. The cria of course did not make it but very grateful for Dr. Layne giving up her Easter Sunday to save our mama llama, Hope. ❤️❤️

Calling all HERBALISTS or anyone interested in herbalism!!!

I have some young toothache plants for sale.
$5 a plant.

Toothache plant can be used for several reasons:

Medicinal Properties:
Numbing Effect: Chewing the flowers or leaves provides a temporary numbing sensation in the mouth, making it a traditional remedy for toothaches.

Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory: It can help with oral health by fighting bacteria and reducing inflammation.

Stimulates Saliva: Chewing the plant can increase saliva production.

Edible Leaves: The leaves can be added to salads or cooked like spinach, adding a unique, tingling flavor.

Growing Tips:
Sunlight: Needs full sun or partial shade.
Soil: Well-draining soil, can benefit from organic compost.
Watering: Do not overwater.
Pruning: Pinch back stems to encourage bushier growth.

Well, it was time to disbud the little goats and Ryan didn't have help to contain the baby goats so he tossed them into the mini truck and this was the result!!!!
