It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Naomi Byers - beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and co-founder of Byers Butterflake Bakery.
Naomi was so much more than just an owner of the bakery. She was the heart of our family and an integral part of the foundation on which this business was built. Together with her husband Dean, Naomi helped turn a dream into something that would become a lasting part of our lives and the lives of so many others.
She brought her own warmth, strength, dedication, and love to everything she did.
Naomi was the mainstay face of our market stands for years, with her signature red hair and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Seeing friends new and old, and all of her regular customers was a highlight of every day she spent at market.
While we are heartbroken by her passing, we are incredibly grateful for the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind. Her greatest legacy may not be the bakery itself, but the family she loved, the generations she helped shape, and the values she passed down.
We will continue to carry her memory with us. Her legacy will live on through all of us.

In honor of Grandparents Day tomorrow, we wanted to tell you about our famous Apple Fritters. 🍎🌟

Wayne Byers’ recipe has been passed down 3 generations! Now Dean Byers, son of Wayne and the owner of our establishment, is a great-grandfather himself. Hug your grandparents this weekend and learn something new from them!
