5 Star Ranch U-Pick Cherries

Hi All,
Does anyone out there smoke their own meats?
We are tearing out the cherry orchard to make room for something more hardy. The wood will be sold for $1/pound. So far, the branches are cut into 8-12'' lengths and average 1'' in diameter. But we have about 400 more trees to go so if you have a preference (chips, disks, ect.) please let me know and I'm sure we can accommodate. Dear 5 Star Friends and Family,

We have been farming sweet cherries for 14 wonderful years. Although each year presented itself with unique challenges, as expected, we were able to overcome those challenges. Our greatest foe the last 3 seasons, including this one, have been the ravens. For those of you who picked at our orchard last summer you are familiar with the damage they cause. They came this season with unbelievable force and have eaten every last cherry. We are very, very sad to announce that 5 Star Ranch is forced to close it's gates.
Providing the best fruit and customer service to you has been our greatest joy. Thank you all for your years of patronage.

Hi friends of 5 Star Ranch! The bloom was a success and it seems like the bees did a thorough job of pollinating. We are now fully leafed out and i'm seeing tons of cherries!! Pictures coming soon....

Dear Friends,

A big Thank You! to all of you who came out and braved the heat today!! We had quite a busy opening day!! You did so well that we are almost picked out!

Due to the our remaining supply, we will be open tomorrow, Sunday June 17th from 8am until 12noon only. After that, we will be closed for the season. We understand that this was the second short season in a row, and that many of you will be disappointed. For that we are sorry. As always with farming, we hope to have a better crop next year! For those of you coming out tomorrow (Sunday), our price this year is still $3.00/lb.

As usual, we look forward to seeing all our old friends, and making many new ones!

Hi Friends,

We have had more frost damage than we initially thought, and the birds have been hitting us hard. The Rainiers are in pretty good supply, but the Bings are only fair. The larger fruit will be sold out fast, so for the best selection, we highly suggest coming out early on opening weekend (June 16th). Our price this year will be $3.00/lb. We now estimate that we will remain open possibly through June 23rd or 24th. As usual, we look forward to seeing all our old friends, and making many new ones!
