Have you ever wondered what would happen to a cake pop after 5 months of refrigeration? Well, I did.

I popped this cake pop in the fridge mid-October after I made them for mock ups and decided to open it up mid-March and surprise surprise, there was some mold that grew on the surface of the cake AND the underside of the chocolate. Cake pops are filled with a mashed up cooked cake so the shelf life of said cake pop, in a sealed container, is fresh for up to 2 weeks. But, I wanted to do an experiment and see how bad it could get after 5 months and well, I'd say it didn't turn out THAT bad.

I was pretty impressed at how easily Jack's face came off in one full piece and how the poppy paint stayed in tact, not bleeding at all or changing in color. 🙌🏻

Prepping a lemon coconut cake pop set using the large disc popper from Daisy Makes 💕

Making flavors with inclusions such as shredded coconut tends to be tricky but the results are divine and delicious.

I felt inspired to make a video with the sounds of my life after seeing Rachel Laukala make such a peaceful video prepping her cake pops. 😌 It felt especially important to showcase what the household sounds like now that summer is upon us and there isn't the silence of my kids at school.
