Kidding season officially started this morning with two sets of twins! Both does kidded without assistance and had them dried off by the time we got to the barn. Love having young does that know what they're doing!

With kidding season starting in less than a week, we decided it is time to celebrate the bucks represented this season by their offspring and new kids. It's shocking to think about, but we have had a total of 8 herdsires since 2019!

HLF Scamp 22530, best known for destroying several panels at the 2023 Savanna Spectacular, is represented by 3 daughters, 1 granddaughter, and several others through his two sons that we have used as herdsires.

WHS 119 Harley and WHS 086 Hurricane were both bred to our maiden does this year. We have seven new does entering the herd this year that were running with these two boys. Neither have daughters in our breeding herd yet, but we are looking forward to adding them next season! Both of these bucks are the last sons of their dams, WHS 120 Little Lady and ABF 18.

SS Redemption Heart Breaker L200 came to us from the first Savanna Showstopper. He is represented this year by 5 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and his two sons. The majority of our older does were exposed to Heart Breaker, Yukon (his son), and Cowboy this year.

WHS 110 Yukon went through the Savanna Spectacular ring this past Saturday as lot 59. He was used on our main herd this year and last year as well. His oldest daughters will enter our breeding herd next season as will his son that we retained as a herdsire.

SAS Apollo is the buck that started it all for us back in 2019. He is represented by 2 daughters, 6 granddaughters, and 2 great granddaughters. Apollo is also the damsire of Harley.

WHS 0063 Titan was a sentimental buck for us, being the only living son of our beloved HH B6. He only sired 1 daughter for us while here, but the HH B6 line will be carried on through her and several of B6's daughters. Harley is another representative of HH B6, who is his second dam.

OAK 329 Cowboy K is one of our newest bucks to be added to the herd. Four of his daughters will be kidding for the first time this season, all of which were bred to Harley and Hurricane. He was out with our main herd, so we are looking forward to some new Cowboy kids!

Exposed does up for consideration. We are downsizing as Kaitie is headed for vet school, so this is a chance to get your hands on some of our keepers. All are exposed to fullblood bucks for kidding between October 5th and November 28th. CIDRS were used on the last 3 does, not on the first, for October 5th.

Doe 1: December 2024 doe out of WHS 104 Calgary by OAK 339 Cowboy K. Very athletic and feminine doe with a 2x2 teat structure. This will be her first set of kids. Exposed to WHS 086 Hurricane and WHS 119 Harley.

Doe 2: March 2023 doe out of WHS 0050 Cherokee Rose by SS Redemption Heart Breaker L200. She has been an excellent mother and produced several keepers for us. She has a 1x1 teat structure. Exposed to WHS 110 Yukon, OAK 329 Cowboy K, SS Redemption Heart Breaker L200, and WHS 086 Hurricane.

Doe 3: February 2021 doe out of ABF E11 by SAS Apollo. She has been a great mother that produces strong, meaty kids. She has a 2xsmall fish teats. Exposed to WHS 110 Yukon, OAK 329 Cowboy K, SS Redemption Heart Breaker L200, and WHS 086 Hurricane.

Doe 4: February 2024 doe out of OAK DS 142 Annie Oakley BF by HLF Scamp 22530. She has lots of body and meat with nice dark pigment. She raised twins this year as a maiden doe. Exposed to WHS 110 Yukon, OAK 329 Cowboy K, SS Redemption Heart Breaker L200, and WHS 086 Hurricane.
