Today is a day that we have been “dreading” - it was time to sell the matriarch of our herd - she had severe arthritis and wasn’t pregnant— happily a new packing plant, American Heartland Packing, has opened nearby that buys individual animals In addition to large shipments- the facility is super clean and the people working there are very kind and compassionate, as Temple Grandin says - nature can be cruel, we don’t have to be - everything went very smoothly, we will miss Lynn, her influence will live on through her many offspring and in our memories.
