At the ripe young age of seven, I created a business called SkyGardens with one sole customer - my Grama. She bought me an 8x10 greenhouse, and I sold her all sorts of plants or anything I could make out of the things surrounding me on the family farm (where I live). Eventually, our West Texas wind blew the plastic greenhouse down, and life went on, but I never stopped dreaming. In fact, since then, I’ve had many different dreams - of becoming a doctor, lawyer, or maybe even the president, but the one that seems to have stuck is my dream of continuing the family business (in a slightly different way). It is the one career path where I can see all of my passions and values meshing together to create something truly beautiful. I love where I was raised, and attribute many of my best qualities to the lifestyle of hard work and perseverance that I was taught from a young age on the farm. I want to build a life that will allow me to teach my kids the same values. Farming has been in my family for generations, but no one before me had ever considered farming flowers (to my knowledge). I graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2020, still unsure of what my next steps were. I transitioned into a full-time position with a flower shop in town, but began to see the need for locally grown flowers. From that moment, I fell in love with the idea of recreating SkyGardens. With love and support shown to me from all sides by friends and family, we are embarking on a new journey. Give us a like to follow our story.

We’re running out of time!! If you haven’t visited the farm yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for! ❤️🥰

We will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening from 5pm until sundown, and Saturday mornings from 8am until noon. The season will run all the way until the first freeze or the end of October. Whichever comes first ❤️

During those open times, you’re welcome to come out and fill your cup with flowers for $35 or $45 (whichever option you prefer), see our animals, and experience this little slice of Heaven. We do ask that if you come to the farm, you support us by getting a cup of flowers. If you decide that you would rather just walk around the garden or see the animals, we will have an entry fee of $8 per person. But if you or someone in your group gets a cup of flowers, that waives the entry for everyone. So basically, our pricing is the same as it has always been… we are just trying to allow those who decide not to get flowers the opportunity to still support everything we have going on.

After you arrive at the farm, we supply you with clippers and a cup of water to fill with your favorite blooms. Don’t worry, we will also give you brief instructions on how to cut and get the most out of your bouquet. 💐

We do have a photography fee of $75 during open hours that applies to any camera with a detachable lens, whether you’re professional or not. We’re working hard to create a beautiful space and I appreciate your support. Phone photos are freely allowed and encouraged. 📸

We do not allow outside animals because we have so many of our own. Please leave yours at home and love on ours extra. ❤️

This week we have the last of our homeschool days on Monday and Tuesday!! If you have a family and want to bring them out for a lesson and beautiful morning on the farm, either day will be perfect! God blessed us with no freeze which means the flowers are still here and we are blessed with more time to share them with you!!

If you come out, feel free to pack lunches for your family and eat them in our yard! We will see y’all Monday and Tuesday morning at 10am!!

Good morning!!! No freeze last night! With that being said, we are unsure of how the flowers will react to this extremely cold weather. Specifically, the zinnias! And since we are unsure of how the vase life will be affected by the cold, we are taking $5 off any regular cup of flowers today, October 17. So $30 cups instead of $35!

Additionally, a cold winds that blew very hard yesterday impacted a lot of the blooms. We do not have near as many blooms as we started with yesterday morning that are gorgeous like you are used to seeing from us. If you come out today, please remember that the weather has not treated us very kindly in the past couple of days. We always want you to get the best, but we know a lot of you want to come out today for the experience. And there still are some beautiful flowers that we would be happy to share with you.

Please show us grace as we navigate this weird weather weekend. And if you would like to come help us deadhead bad zinnias flowers today, show up during our hours and we will let you do as much of that as you’d like! We will even sign off on the volunteer hours ❤️

Good morning!!! No freeze last night! With that being said, we are unsure of how the flowers will react to this extremely cold weather. Specifically, the zinnias! We saw some real tears tonight as we are on the verge of possibly being done for the season. And I might shed some tears real tears in the morning if it’s really all done. Thank you for the love and support!! We appreciate you more than you know!!

While we are hoping that that is not true, there’s a chance of freeze for Saturday morning. And we never know if it will come or what it will do to the flowers…
