At the ripe young age of seven, I created a business called SkyGardens with one sole customer - my Grama. She bought me an 8x10 greenhouse, and I sold her all sorts of plants or anything I could make out of the things surrounding me on the family farm (where I live). Eventually, our West Texas wind blew the plastic greenhouse down, and life went on, but I never stopped dreaming. In fact, since the

n, I’ve had many different dreams - of becoming a doctor, lawyer, or maybe even the president, but the one that seems to have stuck is my dream of continuing the family business (in a slightly different way). It is the one career path where I can see all of my passions and values meshing together to create something truly beautiful. I love where I was raised, and attribute many of my best qualities to the lifestyle of hard work and perseverance that I was taught from a young age on the farm. I want to build a life that will allow me to teach my kids the same values. Farming has been in my family for generations, but no one before me had ever considered farming flowers (to my knowledge). I graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2020, still unsure of what my next steps were. I transitioned into a full-time position with a flower shop in town, but began to see the need for locally grown flowers. From that moment, I fell in love with the idea of recreating SkyGardens. With love and support shown to me from all sides by friends and family, we are embarking on a new journey. Give us a like to follow our story.

“Skyler, I’m so confused…do you have flowers right now or not?? Like when can I come to the farm?!?????!”

Yes and no is the answer to that question for a couple of reasons…

Yes, we have flowers blooming, but they are more few and far between. So yes, I would love to get you a jar or a beautiful arrangement together like the ones pictured. Call or text me at any time to place those orders. If you message me on Facebook or Instagram, I might not see it so be sure to send the text.

But… we do not have our fields of flowers blooming quite yet. They are expected to make their debut arrival sometime at the end of July or beginning of August. I will announce our grand opening weekend for this season in late June or early July. That way we can see exactly when everything will be ready for you to visit. ❤️

So send me any Flower request you have now, and get ready for a gorgeous fall. We are hard at work preparing for your visit. 😍

If you’ve been following along on TikTok or in our stories, you know that this past week was a bit crazy around these parts. ❤️

I just have to take a second to brag on my team from Saturday. I was busy being a bridesmaid so we had to call in the A-Team to take care of every detail.

Dona and Penny were the first people I thought of and they took care of everything. I wasn’t worried one bit. The two of them took every detail off of my plate and made the day perfect. Thank y’all!

Then there’s my trusted sidekick, Chloe. The only reason I didn’t trust the whole day to her and her alone is because she can’t drive yet. She’s the muscles, floral designer, and most importantly, my sister. She impresses me daily, but her help last week both on the farm and in the flower barn brought my admiration for her to an entirely new level. Thank you, Chloe.

Then we can’t forget about Bethany (my other sister), Jon, and Gage who helped us get cleaned up and out the door. Thank you all.

Kate was the most gorgeous bride. All of the professional photos are to come and I can’t wait. 🥰

We are hard at work over DOUBLING the size of the farm from last year so you can bring more friends and family to come see us as soon as our fields of flowers begin blooming this Fall! ❤️🥹

We are so excited for this season and can’t wait to share all of the farm with you. Our main season is August-October (or the first freeze) and we will be open for a consistent schedule at that time. At least 3 days a week, but only in the mornings and evenings as the coolest parts of the day are the best times to cut flowers and experience the farm. 😍

Our opening weekend will be announced in late June or early July. 🥳

It’s planting time in this neck of the woods. And not only are we planting for all your favorite fall blooms, but all of the farmers around us are also planting cotton!

Lord, we pray you bless all of the crops in our area this year. Help each plant to grow big, strong, and mighty to produce a plentiful harvest. Amen.
