What a weekend! 🐓❤️

We officially completed our second round of butchering and our first batch of 200 pasture-raised meat chickens is now fully processed and headed to tables across our community!

The most exciting part? Every single bird S O L D! 🙌🏻We are beyond grateful for the support you’ve shown our family and homestead. Because of your encouragement and trust, we already have a waiting list started for our next batch of meat birds that will be ready in just a few weeks.

There is something so rewarding about knowing exactly where your food comes from. Our chickens are raised out on fresh pasture, moved regularly, and fed a non-GMO feed. No hormones, no preservatives—just wholesome, farm-to-fork chicken raised with care.

Thank you for choosing to support local agriculture, our family, and our dream of providing healthy food to our community. We couldn’t do this without you, and we’re so thankful for every order, share, recommendation, and word of encouragement along the way.

The second batch of meat birds officially hit the pasture this evening! 🐔🌱

They’re already enjoying fresh grass, hunting bugs, and settling into their daily moves across the pasture. Over the next five weeks, they’ll grow the way chickens were meant to—out on pasture with plenty of fresh forage and room to roam.

Hi, friends! 👋🏼

For all of our newer followers, we wanted to reintroduce ourselves!

We’re the Timbrooks — a family of 8 located in Levels, West Virginia. ❤️

I’m Alexis, mama to six amazing kiddos. We recently welcomed our sweet twins into the world, and I spend my days homeschooling, homesteading, and caring for our family here on our 184-acre farm.

My husband, Bucky, works full-time in armed security in the city and spends his weekends farming alongside me.

Here on the homestead, you’ll find miniature ponies, ducks, chickens, goats, beef cattle, dairy cows, turkeys, and our livestock guardian dogs. There’s always noise - whether it’s kiddos giggling, cows moowing or chickens clucking. 😆

Since we were in high school dating, we dreamed of owning our own farm one day and learning the ropes of self-sufficiency. We’re so thankful we took the leap. We purchased an Amish farm with no electricity, a spring-fed water source, and plenty of challenges along the way. Through every trial, God has been *SO* faithful (as he always is 🙌🏻) and we feel incredibly blessed to call this place HOME. 🙏🏻
We love building a life here and making memories with our family.

This is our first year raising pasture-raised chickens, and we’re also launching our very first CSA! We’re slowly working toward opening a farm store here on the property, where we’ll be able to offer more goods produced right here on the farm.

And just like that the next batch of 200 chicks have arrived!!! In just a few weeks our first batch will be butchered and these little guys will be out on pasture in the chicken tractor. 🚜

CSA season is just around the corner here at Harmony Homestead, and yesterday was a BIG gardening day! 🌱☀️

We’ve been hard at work getting the garden ready and planted:

🌱 Radishes
🥕 Carrots
🫜 Beets

…and so much more!
