Did you know that Fall is a great time to plant fruit trees?! We’ve got lots of different cultivars of apples for you. Grafted by Paul!

Currently available:
Spartan
Golden Russet
Northern Spy
Enterprise
Wolf River
Opalescent

These are 1-2 year old trees in a 4x4 tree pot, so a little smaller than the ones you get at the big box store. But a little less expensive and less susceptible to transplant shock.

They are grafted onto MM111 rootstock for a semi-dwarf tree that will get about 15-20’ tall.

The red, white and blue chicken!
This is what the American Bresse is called because of its red comb, white feathers, and blue feet. Originating from France as the “world’s most delicious bird”, you can find Bresse in French markets with the blue feet still attached to guarantee its authenticity. The French credit its delicious meat largely to raising them on quality pasture and feeding the birds milk soaked corn during the final weeks before butchering. The meat develops a marbling.
Unlike other meat birds the Bresse have a smaller and lighter bone structure, giving them a higher meat to bone ratio.
We first got them for meat, but they have become a dual purpose breed for us because they are incredible egg layers! If you want to add them to your coop, we’ve got chicks for you!

What are Silkie chickens?
Silkies orignated from Asia and are likely the furry bird mentioned by Marco Polo in his eastern travels. Their poofy feathers are so silky soft and their skin, meat, and bones are black. They have blue earlobes and 5 toes.
Silkie meat is considered a delicacy in some Asian cuisine, while in America they are sweet pint sized chicken friends. They are super friendly and can even make purring sounds when happy!
Silkies come in a variety of colors and we’ve got a great mix of chicks for you to choose from!

American Bresse and Silkie chicks are ready for new homes! There are some really fun color patterns of silkies in this hatch. The silkies are our daughter’s project and so when you get chicks from her you are supporting a young entrepreneur!
