As fall and winter approach, we continue to stock up on our alfalfa inventory. We want to be sure that we can take care of our customers through these cold months and keep all their animals healthy.

Keeping this in mind, we are still looking for additional people who are open to selling any alfalfa hay they may have.

Another tool we use for cattle care in the extreme heat of summer is moveable shades.

These movable shade structures are placed in our heaviest cattle pens to help reduce heat stress when they need it most. As you can see, the cattle know to use them!

Extreme Kansas heat, humidity, and little wind can be deadly for cattle. 💦☀️

We use a water truck to water pens and cattle to help fight heat stress. This isn’t just routine work — it can be the difference between life and death.

Meet Kayla Burr, our Lewis Branch Manager! Kayla has been a valued member of our team for 18 years!

Kayla credits her dad as her biggest role model. From an early age, he instilled the value of hard work, and growing up in an agricultural family gave her a strong work ethic that has served her well throughout her banking career.

When she's not at the bank, you'll find Kayla cheering on her three kids as they stay busy with sports and activities. Her favorite board game is Sequence—no surprise for someone who enjoys working with numbers!

A fun fact about Kayla? She's a firm believer that coffee tastes best from an open ceramic mug—it's just not the same any other way! ☕️

We're grateful for Kayla's years of commitment and the positive impact she makes on our customers, coworkers, and community every day. Thank you, Kayla, for all you do!
