We accidentally received a case of fresh yuca, so we put it out in our produce department for anyone who’d like to give it a try!

Yuca (also called cassava) is a starchy root vegetable that’s popular in Caribbean, Latin American, and African cooking. Think of it as a cross between a potato and a sweet potato, with a mild flavor and hearty texture.

Founded in Bluefield, West Virginia, by Bob Deskins in 1996, Deskins Candies started with a simple goal: create homemade-style candy using quality ingredients and old-fashioned recipes. Nearly 30 years later, their famous No-Bakes, fudge, peanut rolls, and other sweet treats can be found in stores all across the Mountain State and they’re still a customer favorite.
