Ollie & Betty bring such joy to our day. They can be mischievous but are lovable in equal measure. Nothing matches a donkey hug.

This gorgeous boy arrived on The Hill 6 years ago today. Jack is an amazing boy & is so protective of his peeps. I am convinced Pie gave him pointers - he is so intuitive & knows when you need a calming paw. Love you Jack!!!!

Spring seems to have arrived & so has the resident Rat Snake. The mouse population is significantly decreased over the last week & he/she has decided that Turkey eggs are a good filler in between mouse entrees.

It’s been quite a winter event, low key in a way, but we’ve received around 6-8” of snow/ice/snow in total. This combined with the very low temperatures means it’s unlikely that this will melt any time soon and it’s quite treacherous. Chores are a little tougher but there’s nothing like getting back inside to a toasty coal stove and a mug of coffee.

Just in time for the winter storm that rolled in over the weekend, Minnie birthed triplets Thursday afternoon. She has two girls & a boy - all of whom are doing very well despite the extremely cold weather. They have a heat lamp in case but seem to enjoy bouncing around the pen to keep warm.
