I reached out to the owners of NeedMor BBQ to ask as to why they were closing down. The answer is something I can respect.
After first trying their BBQ earlier this year, Kyle Willis, left an impression. He was here and he meant business. I watched their business grow, and they'd become one of the most sought after BBQ food trucks in Hardinsburg, KY area, selling out nearly every day! At the beckoning of myself and a few other foodies, they made their way to Owensboro, and even participated in BBQ & Barrels.
Speaking with Kyle, briefly today, I inquired to the shut down.
"Cost to profit was starting to decline to much for me. I didn't want to change anything because I stand by the product that I made and couldn't bring myself to cut cost for cheap stuff, so I decided to just shut it down and get out while I'm still afloat.", Stated Kyle.
"Although we made alot of new friends, you included, we had a great time sharing our BBQ with everyone, and learned alot about the business.
The small businesses and food trucks are struggling and need all the community's support." He went on to add.
We've seen the domino effect of economic turmoil. Hell, we all feel it. This is just one more casualty in the growing economic disparity hurting our hometown businesses. So, support local businesses while we still have them to cherish.
