Well, this was a pretty special thing to open. ❤️
Seeing the story of My Chef Steph in this month’s Neighbors of the Lewis Clark Valley feels a little surreal.
What started simply — with a love of cooking, feeding people and making room around the table — has somehow grown into Red Bags leaving my kitchen every week, cooking classes filled with laughter, weddings and celebrations, Soulful Suppers under the lights, and so many opportunities to be part of the moments that matter to people.
And through all of it, the heart of this little business really hasn’t changed.
We’re in the people business. We just happen to serve really good food.
Food has always been my love language. It’s how I care for people, how I celebrate them, and sometimes simply how I make a hard day a little easier. Getting to do that for a living — right here in the community that raised me — is something I never take for granted.
Thank you to Neighbors of the Lewis Clark Valley for telling our story so beautifully. And thank you to every single person who has ordered a Red Bag, sat around my kitchen for a class, trusted me with a wedding or celebration, joined us for a Soulful Supper, shared my name with a friend, or simply cheered us on.
You’re the reason there’s a story to tell. ❤️
