Trying to figure out what you can afford this weekend? Here's some help:

Average price of gas 5/13/2026 in Idaho $4.63/gal

It will cost you $13.89 for round trip to Wi******er Lake State Park AND entry fee of $7 for day use. Worth it. Very pretty lake area. But just the drive is long enough, you will probably need to buy lunch or take snacks.

You could choose Chief Timothy Park West of Clarkston, but the day use fee is $10. You will still need to take snacks or lunch. And don't forget the gas: $3.60.

It will cost you $3.60 for round trip from downtown Lewiston to Mann Lake for a nice walk or some fishing or bird watching for FREE! Snacks? Sure. But the kids can wait...

For a KID'S CONE AT The Mad Hatter Tea Shop!!! Kid's cones are only $2, single (big kid/adult) scoop $3.50. Plus AC when it's hot, and heat when it's cold. PLUS great shopping!
