On July 1st I got the call no sister wants to get. My brother was in an accident. A truck pulled out in front of him. He swerved to miss him but the driver continued into the road, hitting him so hard it spun the truck. Less than a mile from his home... He was taken to a local hospital but quickly life flighted to a level 1 trauma center. This is the second time in his life he was being life flighted. 31 years and 2 months to the day, at only 5yrs old, he was struck by a careless driver while getting on a school bus, breaking both of his femurs and causing numerous other injuries. He was struck on the same side, breaking his tibia and fibula and causing lacreations to the bone. Both requiring surgery. He has several other injuries, potentially more surgery, and all around a long road ahead of him. Unfortunately with the severity of this accident he will not be able to work for some time.. On top of all his recovery, this is also going to wear on him as he is unbelievably hard working man. At only 36 years old he has been through enough to last him 6 lifetimes...
