Montana Fiberglass Inc

Montana Fiberglass Inc We specialize in the manufacturing of fiberglass stock tanks and cisterns. Our tanks have been around for over 30 years.

We take pride in the manufacture of our round & oblong tanks for cattle and sheep; the hand-laid, bi-directional mat gives added strength. We box in the lip of the tank as this gives extra strength around the top of the tank to ensure more durability against the pressure of livestock. Montana Fiberglass round stock tanks range in sizes of 400 to 1500 gallons; the oblong tanks range from 240 to 2,0

00 gallons. Any of our tanks can be insulated, 1 to 4 drinkers are available for the covers on our round stock tanks, and up to 2 drinkers are available for the covers on our oblong. They can also be customized by adding a standpipe or specifying drinker placement, etc. Ranchers have reported on our insulated tanks: at 60 below zero they acquire about 2" of ice where the animals drink; at 30 below, there is a skim layer of ice; and at 20 below there is no ice. Most likely freezing should not be a problem as the 19” panels, the added ribs at each corner, and the angled sidewalls allow the ice to expand and push up without damage to the tank. Our tanks are easy to move and built to last. And, fiberglass is more appealing to livestock; therefore they drink more, resulting in better gains! All tanks are under a two-year warranty in which we offer repair kits and in most cases we are able to repair any breaks. We also supply cisterns/water storage tanks, ranging from 6’ Diameter to 12’ Diameter and from 2,000 gallons to 25,000 gallons. Any cistern can be potable, buried, and fittings can be installed anywhere a customer would like.

Our Story

The Zane Stock Tank has been a staple in livestock watering systems across the Midwest since 1979. It originated in Scranton, ND. Ken and Anita Bridgeford bought the business in January of 2000 and moved it to Lewistown, MT. Our company primarily serves Montana and other nearby states such as North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska.

We strive to be the very best at what we do. Our tanks are built to last, using a bi-directional woven mat, which gives them the puncture and tear resistance that speaks to the high quality of our craftsmanship. We also box in the lip of our tanks for added cattle-pressure resistance.

Our most popular stock tanks range in sizes from 310-1940 gallons. With the exception of the R19 and sheep tanks, all of our stock tanks can be insulated and ordered with or without covers. We can also customize your tank by adding a standpipe and a hatch and specifying the number of drinkers.
