Head out to the Barnyard to get lost in our corn maze, pick up some pumpkins from our self serve stand,enjoy sweet treats, scenic hayrides, and much more! You can enjoy getting lost in our handmade corn maze, go for a scenic hayride around the farm, pick up all your fall decorations, enjoy the activities in our play yard, or even enjoy some ice cream and goodies from our concession stand! And don't forget that every year we have a new theme to the maze..this year is Noah's Ark!

These pretty blue and green seeds will soon turn into big orange pumpkins! 🎃

Today we're getting started on our pumpkin patches for the season! We’re putting in a variety of pumpkins including Field Trip pumpkins, Carving pumpkins, Gourds, and Stackers. We can't wait to watch them grow and see families enjoy them this fall! 🧡

If you've noticed that it looks like we're planting into a w**dy field, don't worry—those aren't w**ds! The green growth is actually a carefully planted cover crop mix of triticale and wheat. 🌾

Why plant pumpkins into a cover crop?
✅ Helps reduce soil erosion
✅ Improves soil health
✅ Retains moisture during dry periods
✅ Helps with natural w**d suppression

In the coming weeks, we'll use a roller to flatten the triticale and wheat, creating a thick protective mat around the pumpkin plants. This mulch-like layer helps suppress w**ds naturally, reducing the need for additional w**d control while giving our pumpkins a healthier growing environment. 🎃

THANK YOU to all of our friends who stopped by today and helped us slide into summer time! 🌊

Summer time means maze prep here on the farm but we also would like to offer some other fun events/items so make sure to check in regularly to stay up to date! 📆

TOMORROW we will be hosting our first tractor pull of the year with the Mifflin County Antique Tractor Association. The play yards will be closed but there will be tractor pulls, a concession stand, and ice cream! This is a free admission event! Bring a lawn chair and come watch the fun! 🚜
