Tonight's show with Van Wirsing - Van Halen Tribute has been sold out for quite awhile and we're really looking forward to it.
If you did buy a table, look out for the detailed directions for tonight via email.
Otherwise for everyone else looking to come to Shy Bear this evening, if you arrive when we open at 4pm we can get you seated outside as long as you're out by 6pm. Or we will have limited seating inside in the taproom throughout the night but we have a strict no general admission / random standing around policy for watching the show from the sidelines.

Another week full of great sounds and blissful flavors. Honey Pie is back tomorrow and I'm sure with a few Dolly Parton tributes.
Friday's show with Van Wirsing is sold out but we will still be seating people inside the taproom for people not here for the show.
Saturday's show with Mike Weyrauch is always great and of course the Ryan Carter Band's last Sunday of the month shows are always on point - especially with John's sister, Jane, making a guest vocal appearance that always gets the crowd going!
We only have this food menu going for another few weeks so make sure you get your fill of the grouper, fresh made guac, gyro flatbread, bahn mi quesadilla and other summer favorites while they're still around.
Beer wise, Quetzal Logic Hazy Double IPA hit the taps last week and it's a goodie!

We did have a plan for live music tonight but with this added rain we opted to reschedule David for a date later in the year. But if you're an entrepreneur or hope to be, stop by to meet with other local business owners to talk about the trials and tribulations.
Tomorrow's 'Be Kind, Rewind' retro movie trivia will be a great time. Teams should be no larger than 8 people and prizes will be given away for the top team and another place TBD.
Individual servings of the Low Country Boil are $45 per person and will be very limited - served only on Saturday from 1-8pm or until it's sold out.

I have a few notes worth passing along. First, despite the less than stellar weather today we are still hosting Kinsey for their wonderful brand of live music at 4pm. Stage and patio is completely covered so let's make the best of the day!
Our Low Country Boil this coming Saturday requires that you reserve for your group before Tuesday the 18th at 10pm so we can guarantee enough blue crab, shrimp, andouille sausage etc for the feast. We will offer individual servings on Saturday the 22nd on a first come, first serve basis at $45 per person but there's no guarantee we'll have enough so purchasing ahead of time is your best bet.

Full slate of events this week! We open early this week as we have our next Wednesday Ticketed Summer Series Show with Get Petty tomorrow evening. Keep in mind that we are only open tomorrow evening for those coming to the show and will not be open to the general public.
Individual Tickets are now available in addition to reserving full tables. These will all be available until 10pm this evening and then after that, prices go up $5 per ticket.

In addition, food special this week starting tomorrow evening is a sliced Brazilian picanha steak with a sweet corn polenta, blistered shish*to peppers and drizzled with a chimichurri sauce for $28.
Beer wise we are bringing back an old favorite and it's perfect for this time of year, Boysen Arrows a Boysenberry Sour Ale. Available on draft and in cans to go

I can honestly say that of all the musicians who have ever played at Shy Bear, the most common artist covered has to be Tom Petty. It works for a variety of reasons and musical tastes and to be honest, I didn't really appreciate of subtle nuances of his entire life's work until after he passed away.
With all of that said, there are only 6 tables left to reserve for this Wednesday night's show with Get Petty - for a night completely dedicated to his immaculate catalog.
