Aztec Turkey Chili as created by Grok and then heavily doctored by me was…interesting. Like a “meaty salsa” as my coworker put it. So it did not place top 3 in the competition but still tasted good for what it was, even though what it was, was not chili 😂 However my dad said the consistency/texture reminded him of Skyline Chili and so we tried it with noodles and cheese and sure enough we have the southwest version of the Midwest chili 👨🏻‍🍳

Posting purely as evidence that not everything I make is perfect. My pastrami experiment was a complete miss. Probably due to lack of prep/research but ultimately everything was going good until I ate my first slice. WAY TOO salty, like eating salt directly out of the shaker bad. The texture was just like a great brisket, and the interior meat wasn’t as effected by the salt brine, but now I gotta figure out how to repurpose the remaining meat to stew meat of some sort.
