Shooting Star Acres We are a small family farm in Lexington, Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. This first group of lambs have some amazing markings and fleece.

We raise Shetland sheep and are participating in the breed-up program to bring Valais Blacknose sheep to the US. We also raise free ranging chickens for both eggs and meat, they can be found around the farm doing what chickens do best. Our most recent project has involved AI to bring new bloodlines for Shetland Sheep to the US from the UK.

The only problem with beautiful new fencing, is you need to rip out the old one as well. Lots of new went in and now we begin the not so fun part. This is what 90 feet of 30+ year old woven wire and barbed wire looks like. Took about 3 hours of work to get it done. Only about. 450 feet to go on this line.
