With forecasted winter weather — depending on the model, 1 inch… or 1,000 inches — coupled with frigid temperatures, we will be closed for cattle take-up this weekend, January 23–25, 2026.
It’s rare for a storm to impact everyone from the far Southwest to the East Coast at once, but this system is expected to affect cattle movement and road conditions across the board. This decision is in the best interest of our producers, customers, drivers, and employees, allowing everyone to stay closer to home and focused on family, animals, and staying safe. And preventing short-term weather disruptions having an influence on cattle values.
In the meantime—enjoy some family time, a bowl of beef stew with a mug of hot chocolate, and maybe a quick sleigh ride.
(Producers—feel free to share your snow photos!)
We appreciate your understanding and support.
Stay warm, stay safe, and we’ll see you next weekend.
And to those who help keep the roads open—hats off to you and sincere thanks. You are truly appreciated!
