Another neat plant found naturally occurring on the farm is Yarrow. This pretty flower looks great in a vase on the table but it’s so much more. Yarrow is mostly known as a wound healer. It can also help with colds/flu, digestion, and menstrual health. This season we are preparing a tincture and just finished a wound cream!

We have some pretty neat naturally occurring foliage around the farm. This is jewelweed. It grows around the creek area....

We have some pretty neat naturally occurring foliage around the farm. This is jewelweed. It grows around the creek area. It can be used topically to reduce itching and irritation. Great for poison oak/ivy. The leaves can be crushed and used right off the plant. We are also making a tincture for later use!
