The year of the twins! Jane had twins Wednesday afternoon. Quite the experience! Martin was able to help me on the garden during his lunch hour, and was heading back in when I asked if he could grab me some more bags of rabbit manure for the garden, from up at the barn. He went to get them and Jane was in full labor. (Amazing timing, thank you Lord). She was presenting 3 legs and a head and things were a little stuck. Thanks to one of the goat camps I attended, we had done an exercise in feeling positioning and moving babies, I was able to push the correct foot back in and she was able to move baby number 1 out and the second was breach, and I was able to assist him following very quickly. I was amazed at what I understood to do. I've come a long way in my 4 years of goat owning!!! So we have 2 new healthy bucklings, and may I say this tri is a stunner. I won't be keeping him, but he would make a great stud for someone looking for a good one this year. Blue-eyed mini Nubian with lots of flash!!!
