Looking for something fun to do Friday night? Come out and support our local 4-H poultry club kids! 💚🍀

These kiddos have been working hard since March, raising and caring for their birds, and they’re ready to show off all that hard work!

Our 2 kiddos will have 5 Black Sexlinks and 5 New Hampshires out of the 50 😬 they’ve raised right here on the farm, heading into the auction ring. And the best part? They’ve just started laying!

Whether you’re looking to add some quality layers to your existing flock or you’ve been thinking about starting one of your own, this is a great chance to take home some birds while supporting all of these hardworking 4-H kids.

Come cheer them on, place a bid, and see what these young farmers have been raising since spring!

We’d love to see you there! ❤️

In case you missed it…

Our freezer is stocked back up with:

• Brown Sugar Maple Sausage
• Breakfast Sausage
• Pork Chops
• And a little bacon… because it disappeared almost as soon as it arrived!
•Boston Butts
•Spare ribs

This may be the last of our pork for the year as we transition into some new adventures. (Seriously!) So if you’ve been meaning to stock up, now’s the time. Once it’s gone, it’ll be gone for a while.

We always encourage farm pickup, so if you’d like to stop by, just send us a message and we’ll get you set up!

Milk herd share members: August invoices have been sent, so be sure to check your email.

One more thing… we’re still missing quite a few of our milk jars. We recently invested in a new batch, so we’d really appreciate getting the empties back. If you’ve got jars hanging out on your counter, porch, or in the back of the fridge, send them our way. We (and the next gallon of milk) will thank you!

🚨 Fresh pasture-raised chicken is available for pickup this afternoon and tomorrow morning… then it’s headed to the freezer!

This will most likely be our last batch of chickens for the year as we take a break to focus on other matters.

We don’t expect these to last long, so if you’ve been thinking about stocking your freezer, now’s the time! Once they’re gone, they’ll be gone for a while. (Not forever, just until life on the farm becomes a little more manageable for one person. 😉)

Send us a message to grab yours before they’re all spoken for!

🐖 We have an unexpected opening for a ½ hog!

If you’ve been thinking about stocking your freezer, this is the perfect opportunity to save money, support local, and know exactly where your food comes from.

Our pasture-raised hog has already gone to the butcher and will be ready for pickup in the next couple of weeks, so there’s nothing left to do but claim it!

Fill your freezer with delicious, locally raised pork and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from feeding your family food raised (not just packaged) right here in the good ‘ol USA 🇺🇸!

📩 Message us today before it’s gone!

Piles of boxes around here can only mean one thing...

The freezer is stocked! 🐖

We currently have a limited supply of our Brown Sugar Maple, Hot, and Breakfast Sausage available.

We're already making plans for another trip to the processor, but if you've been waiting to stock up, now's the time. At the rate things are moving, we expect what we have on hand to be gone within a week.

Oh, my Ruth. ❤️

Last night was the very first time we've ever milked her. Sure, she's friendly, but even the friendliest cow isn't guaranteed to enjoy having her teats tugged on by a machine. 😂

I went into it with zero expectations. I didn't want to get my hopes up only to have her decide my face looked kickable.

But, as usual, Ruth didn't let me down... and boy, did SHE let down. 🥛 She stood like an absolute saint through the whole thing.

The result? 3.5 gallons of LIQUID GOLD.

And before anyone judges the containers.... The paying customers get the fancy jars and we use what we have for ourselves. 😂

Let’s talk about my sweet Ruth. ❤️

Ruth was purchased quite a while back with every intention of ending up as beef. The plan was simple: fatten her up along with the others and eventually fill the freezer.

Then came day one.

We unloaded her from the trailer, and before we knew it, she walked right up to Nick and me looking for pets. We looked at each other and immediately knew:

"Yep... we're out of a beef."

Both of us, but especially Nick, have a soft spot for Jerseys, and from that moment on, we just didn't have the heart to send her to the processor.

I prayed that when we tested her, she would come back clean and be able to stay as a permanent member of our milking girls.

The Lord answered.

She came back squeaky clean.

So Ruth was pulled from the beef field and introduced to our little dairy herd.

Next step: make her a mama.

For the last year, I've watched Ruth love on the other Jersey calves, patiently waiting for one of her own. This morning, it was finally her turn.

She delivered the most perfect little heifer.

God is so good. While this life can be exhausting at times, we are incredibly blessed to witness His handiwork over and over again.

We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to care for His creation each day and to experience the countless reminders of His goodness, grace, and provision along the way.

Days like today make all the hard work worth it. ❤️

It has been such a joy watching this sweet girl finally get a baby of her own. After all this time, seeing her become a mama feels extra special. And now, I can't wait to get her into the stanchion and see just how wonderful she truly is as a milk cow.

Welcome to the world, little one. 💕
