Please join us in lifting this precious girl and her family in prayer! 🙏

The doctors have told us they have done everything they can to support Rachael. She is currently in respiratory failure and unable to maintain her breathing without assistance. She requires 100% oxygen through the BiPAP machine, and when it is removed, her oxygen levels drop dangerously low.

As a parent, it is incredibly difficult to hear words like, “There is nothing more we can do medically, so spend as much time with her as you can.” Those words cut deep and are impossible to accept.

Faith does not always come easy when you are faced with circumstances like these. There are moments when fear tries to take over, but I have to remind myself that God is still in control. I have to lay my worries, fears, and heartbreak at His feet and trust Him with what I cannot control.

Despite everything she is facing, Rachael is still awake, alert, and aware. She is spending time playing games with her big sister and finding ways to smile through all the tubes, wires, machines, and endless medical interventions surrounding her.

We are continuing to pray, believe, and hope for a miracle. We know there are countless prayers being lifted up on her behalf, and we are so grateful for every single one of them.

Please continue to pray for Rachael. Pray for healing, for strength, for peace, and for God’s hand to move in a way that only He can.

❤️ “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37.

For Jessica and Matt Forsythe of Lexington, Alabama, Mother’s Day became a day they will never forget.

While many families were gathering to celebrate, Jessica & Matt watched their home go up in flames.

Lexington, Greenhill, Elgin, & Anderson VFD all worked to put out the fire. The fire is believed to have been electrical, and the home was a total loss.

For most families, that would be more than enough heartbreak for one year.

For the Forsythes, it came after months of challenges that had already pushed them to their limits.

On December 8th, 2024, Matt was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident. His injuries were severe. He underwent emergency surgery, had half of his colon removed, and required multiple surgeries on his leg. At one point, Jessica was told he had been lost due to internal bleeding while being taken into surgery. Thankfully, doctors were able to regain control and save his life.

Since that day, Matt has endured four additional surgeries as part of his recovery.

While helping care for her husband, Jessica was facing serious health challenges of her own. After learning she had significant problems in her neck, she underwent cervical fusion surgery in November 2025. When the fusion failed to heal properly, she was forced to undergo another surgery on May 13th of this year to add additional support.

As if that wasn’t enough, the family has experienced an unimaginable amount of loss. Jessica shared that they have lost 13 people close to them since March.

Then came Mother’s Day.

The fire took their home and nearly everything in it.

Today, the family is staying in a hotel while working through the insurance process. The good news is they have secured a rental home and hope to move in next week.

The challenge now is starting over.

Jessica told me, “We found a rental and can move in next week, but we are so lost. We have never experienced all of this.”

The family is in need of clothing, toiletries, household items, and other basic necessities to help establish their new home.

Anyone who has ever lost a home knows that replacing a house is one thing. Replacing the everyday items that make a house feel like home is another challenge entirely.

Most of all, this family needs encouragement as they navigate yet another difficult chapter.

Many people want to help, but, far too often, they simply don’t know there’s a need.

Today, I’m asking our community to rally around the Forsythe family of Lexington. If you would like information about ways to help, please see the family’s GoFundMe & VENMO in the comments.

Let’s send our encouragement and remind them they’re not walking through this alone. Spread the word and let’s make a difference together!

This community spotlight is brought to you by Bankston Motor Homes, proudly supporting stories and the people who make our communities strong.

A little infor for those who didn't know... I (Chasity) was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2012! It's a constant struggle and hard to find good, safe food to eat! We have dedicated fryers for our fries..and I try and keep some sort of gluten free options available on the truck! Bc it is a small space, cross contamination can not be crossed out completely...but we strive in every way possible to keep it as low as possible. (Changing gloves, using only the dedicated fryers, using plates from a different stack that haven't been potentially previously touched)
So if you or someone you know has to struggle with this daily..I see you! If you ever see us out and want something delicious, stop by and give us a try!

(As always...be sure to tell us you have celiac and we will use all our precautions to keep you as safe as possible! ) 💚
