Goose and the Monkey Brew House Slightly Blunt. Very Forward. GMBH began as a dream for our owners Brent and Ashlee Moore. In 2017 the dream began to take shape.

Goose and the Monkey Brewhouse is a 10 barrel (bbl) brewhouse that is located in the heart of the Historic Depot District in Lexington, NC. They wanted to bring a unique experience and delicious craft beer to their hometown. In the process, they found kindred spirits in co-brewers Eric Gibble and Brandon Essick. Embarking on the process of renovating an old Lexington Home Brands building in the ho

pes that very soon GMBH would become a reality, but the road to becoming a fully operational craft brewery was not an easy one. On December 19th, 2017 there was a fire that swept through the Depot District. Decimating Lexington Home Brands Plant 1, and very nearly destroying the building we now call home. If it wasn’t for the giant red fire doors containing the fire, we may not be where we are today. They saved our building and in the spring of 2019 the journey continued and renovations began. Brent and Ashlee and the GMBH Team didn’t give up the pursuit of an excellent craft beer experience for Lexington. Persevering through countless setbacks, trials, and tribulations GMBH opened the doors of our tap-room on Feb. 29th, 2020.
