To my friends and fellow pie enthusiasts, I wanted to let you know that I'm putting a bookmark in the retail sales chapter of Honeyshine Pies. I've had an amazing experience growing my business for the last three years out of the commercial kitchen at Wilson's Grocery in Lexington, but this will be my final week.
I'm so proud of all of the delicious cookies and beautiful pies I've made, thankful for the wonderful friendships that have developed, and feel such a deep sense of satisfaction and accomplishment to have managed a profitable and much-loved baking business. I extend an ocean of love and gratitude towards Matt and Jill for letting me use their space to learn, experiment, and create.
I'm pausing my business mainly because my goals for myself have changed. Also, I'm tired. Throughout my entrepreneurship, I have still been working at the hospital as a physical therapist, which has meant many late nights making cookie dough and early morning deliveries followed by a full days work.
I'm putting positive Honeyshine energy out into the universe to see what future chapters might be written. I hope to return to Wilson's for a few special events and for Thanksgiving, the biggest pie holiday of them all.
Stop by the store this week as I empty out the cupboards with the final (for now) cookies, muffins, and pie.
