Today was a hard day on our farm as Jason and I said goodbye to Larry, our sweet and faithful Labrador Retriever 💔
I came into both his and Jason's life 6 years ago. In fact I met Larry before I met Jason! Larry met me at my car when I pulled up in the driveway 😁 In those few years I poured my love into him and he into me! There wasn't a day that boys' tail wasn't almost wagging off his backside ❤️ Always there to greet us and forever happy to see us whether we were gone 5 minutes or 5 hours.
Jason got Larry as a puppy almost 15 years ago!!!!! What an amazing long life he had!!! He saw thousands of beautiful sunrises and sunsets on this farm. He also gave an immeasurable amount of unconditional love to our family. Nothing prepares you to have to make the tough decision to let them go. In October 2023 Larry was diagnosed with bone cancer in his right rear leg. Despite this ailment, and initially given only 30 days to live, he continued to thrive for the next
2 1/2 years 🙏 Sadly over the last week he rapidly declined. Our hearts are broken and I know that Lexi will miss Larry as well; they were great companions. There were days that Lexi pestered the ever living 💩 out of Larry and what I wouldn't give for him to still be here to set her straight!!! Special thanks to Keagan, our veterinarian, for facilitating Larry's peaceful passing here at home.
Run free, sweet boy, you have no more pain. We will see you again 🙏
Wait for us..............
