🌽 Morganfield Corn Festival Begins This Week — Carnival Setup Brings Parking Reminder
MORGANFIELD, KY — A longtime Union County tradition returns this week as the 52nd Annual Morganfield Corn Festival prepares to take over downtown Morganfield from Thursday, September 24, through Saturday, September 26.
The Morganfield Corn Festival's official website reports that this year's theme is “Small Town America.” The three-day festival is presented by the Morganfield Lions Club and features free admission, a carnival and rides, live music, food and craft vendors, pageants, contests and the annual Grand Parade.
But before the festival officially gets underway, there is an important reminder for motorists who use the downtown area.
🚨 Carnival setup begins Tuesday evening
The Morganfield Corn Festival shared an additional notice on its social media page informing the public that carnival setup will begin Tuesday evening, September 22.
Organizers are asking that all vehicles be removed from the designated carnival setup area by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday so carnival crews can begin setting up.
The area affected is in downtown Morganfield, and a map shared with the notice identifies the designated area for carnival setup.
If you normally park in this area, organizers are asking you to have your vehicle moved before the 5 p.m. deadline.
